I am a licensed occupational therapist in the state of Georgia who specializes in home accessibility and aging in place. As an occupational therapist, I am clinically trained to assess a person’s abilities, understand what daily activities are important them, evaluate the environment in which those activities are performed and find a solution that will allow for the successful participation in those activities.

In 2012, I founded EnABLE Home Solutions LLC to address the growing desire among homeowners to remain at home despite their changing needs and abilities. Combining my healthcare experience with my accessibility training, I bring a unique set of skills to the issues of aging in place and accessibility.

Bella Living mission is to apply creativity, technology, and compassion to evaluate, design, modify, and construct safe living spaces that are accessible, beautiful, and cost effective.

Through small-scale repairs and upgrades, local homebound older adult, disabled adults, and veterans can improve the safety and mobility in their homes and reduce the risk of falls and other common injuries, allowing them to age-in-place longer.

Change In Motion is a therapist-owned company providing home evaluations in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. Home evaluations are customized to meet client needs, including fall prevention, aging in place, joint health, energy and fatigue, accessibility, and visitability. At Kristina Silverman, Occupational Therapy, our mission is to empower individuals to live safely and independently in their homes through comprehensive evaluations, personalized occupational therapy treatments and expert home modification consulting. We are dedicated to enhancing independence, promoting accessibility, and improving quality of life through innovative, client-centered solutions that promote personalized independence and adapt homes to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Our primary objective is to achieve functional and comfortable living environments that support long-term well-being and promote dignity for people of all ages and abilities.

Occupational Therapist owned; specializes in working with clients with medical challenges and anticipating future needs; can provide basic autoCAD drawings for concept drawings; experienced in modifying homes for people with autism and their families (including “hardening the home”); licensed residential contractor.

I assist clients and families with modifications related primarily with bathroom safety/access and entryways. Recommend DME or retail available items which will facilitate task completion in their home environments. These conditions can be short term or long term need. As an OT, I understand medical conditions, their affects on self care and mobility, and I am uniquely able to help clients make the best home modification decisions.

At ElderVibe we do home safety assessments and develop safety action plans to assist our clients in Aging in Place. We have a network of high quality contractors and home modification specialists to complete level of project. First and foremost we listen to our clients needs and wishes.

I assist individuals that have been hospitalized in transition to home with home safety assessments and recommendations. I am looking to start my own business to meet my community’s need for aging in place.

I completed this program to help me get further educated on home mods ethics, know-how, and the different approaches to completing home mods. My hope is to pursue a home modification company using my background as an OT to assist community residents to help age-in-place safely and independently.

We do home modifications to keep people in their homes where they want to be. Small jobs can also do small handyman tasks for people who have mobility issues. Small Jobs has staff that can do yard maintenance and design low maintenance gardens.

I’ve been working at MPTF’s Home Safe Home program since 2010. MPTF is a nonprofit which serves members of the entertainment industry. Through the HSH program we offer free home safety evaluations and provides free or low-cost modifications utilizing volunteer labor. I’ve also served on the Board of Directors for both the National Aging in Place Council, and the DME Aid Society.

At RTMD we provide critical home repairs and home modifications to vulnerable, low-income homowners and neighbors in need.

At Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade, we provide accessibility modifications that enable vulnerable residents to safely and independently navigate their own homes. From front entrance ramps to bathroom modifications, these repairs restore dignity and allow families to age in place or remain stably housed within their communities.

I currently partner with Jukebox Health as a contracted occupational therapist specializing in home-based evaluation and environmental safety assessment. My work in this role involves conducting thorough in-home assessments to identify individualized recommendations for adaptive equipment, home modification, and community support services that reduce fall risk and promote functional independence. I am committed to meeting clients within the context of their daily lives and the environments in which they live and help them live as safely and independently as possible in the place that matters most — home.

Promotion and assisting in aging in place through standardized assessment of home and client.

I lead the design team in building online home evaluation tools focusing on accessibility and aging in place. We created a tool for home owners as well as a tool for evaluators of all backgrounds to use with their own clientele.

From Childhood through adulthood -We make your home more accessible for you. We will assess your home and design solutions for converting or adapting it to make your home work better for you. We service clients throughout Northern and Central New Jersey. We offer free consultations, an in-home evaluation to determine accessibility needs, the creation of design solutions, collaboration with contractors and other professionals, assistance in procuring equipment, education in use of solutions provided, and a “check in service” to ensure your home continues to meet your needs for accessibility.

I educate health professional students about home modifications and the importance of environment and context in supporting health. I also have a private practice focusing on self-management skills for individuals with chronic illness. A safe and accessible home environment is a necessary element of practical and long-term daily life participation.
