Special Features: The home assessment is conducted following an initial conversation with the client to learn of mobility and other challenges inside and outside the home, health factors, previous falls, vision concerns, hospitalizations and medications that may cause balance problems. Each challenge is considered while checking the design, placement of furniture, stairs, interior and exterior lighting and pathways. We write an assessment for modifications stating the order of importance because some are put off making adjustments due to financial concerns, health, age and ability some modifications may not be necessary immediately. Vision and appropriate lighting is all important particularly as we age.
