COVID-19: A Critical Time for Safety at Home

With more time at home, supportive home environments are key for older adults

Now, more than ever, it is important to consider the safety and support of our homes. We are “safer at home” when it comes to the new Coronavirus, but our homes can have fall hazards such as throw rugs or poor lighting that could make it difficult or even dangerous for residents and guests of various ages to move about. Policy Update: Medicare Advantage

Did you know? Starting in 2020, home modifications will be permissible as a special supplemental benefit for the chronically ill under Medicare Advantage. Plans have submitted their bids to the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) for 2020 and should soon know what has been approved. Stay tuned for updates!
