Most Common Modification: District of Columbia Office on Aging (DCOA) and the Department ofHousing and Community Development work with contractors through(CSBG) to offer Safe at Home. Administered by Home Care Partners, aDCOA grantee, Safe at Home helps older adults and residents livingwith disabilities age in place. It provides preventative adaptations toreduce the risk of falls in the homes of qualifying seniors and adults withdisabilities.

Services/Modifications Provided: Safe at Home is available to seniors ages 60and older, and persons living with a disabilityages 18-59. Eligible households will receiveaccessibility adaptation grants up to $10,000to cover equipment and labor costs
