Home Modification Education and Support (HOMES) Training Program for the Disability and Aging Networks 

July 11: Deadline to Apply

July 19–Aug. 30, 2022: Training 

The Housing and Services Resource Center invites you to apply for the online HOMES Training Program – free to professionals from disability and aging network agencies (such as Centers for Independent Living, State Assistive Technology Programs, State Units on Aging, and Area Agencies on Aging), as well as Money Follows the Person grantees. Administered by the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology July 19–August 30, 2022. 

Home modifications that increase older adults’ and individuals with disabilities’ safety and independence in the home are more important than ever. Gain a foundation of specialized home modification knowledge, access educational resources and capacity-building tools, and develop a plan with expert feedback to help your agency meet the need in your state or community.

  • Earn a Certificate of Completion from USC 
  • Obtain Letters of Completion for CEU submission 

What’s Included in the Free HOMES Training Program? 

  • 6 one-week lectures you may log into at any time during the week 
  • Topics include home modification solutions, policies, funding sources, partners, assessment tools, products and designs…and more! 
  • Development of specialized, action-oriented knowledge from 4-6 hours/week invested in lectures, assignments, and extensive peer interactions

Space is very limited. 

  • Completing this application does not guarantee enrollment in the training. 
  • There is a limit of one representative per agency. 
  • You will be notified of the status of your application by July 15.
