I am an occupational therapist currently working in academia. I have worked with older adults for over 25 years completing home evaluations and bow bringing this skill to my students and community.

CarePLaCe is a program to support caregivers/care partners caring for an older adult with chronic illness and/or a form of dementia. In the program, there is a home safety evaluation to provide information, assessment and recommendations
for home modification. CarePLaCe services are at no cost to the client.

We are a research and development firm with over 40 years of experience designing and integrating aging-in-place concepts into customized solutions for the population aged 50 and above, caregivers, and businesses that serve them. Specifically, we collaborate with developers, builders, architects, urban planners, health-related service providers, and individuals to design and renovate age-friendly, certified aging-in-place spaces.

I teach OT to entry level masters and doctoral students including content on gerontology and aging in place. I have emerging knowledge in home modifications following the certification course and would appreciate anyone who wants to collaborate in the Phoenix or Prescott area of AZ.

By leveraging Vision AI technology, it assesses home environments for safety risks and provides personalized recommendations to prevent falls, reduce social isolation, and enhance overall well-being. Thus, it empowers seniors and their families to make informed decisions about thriving in place.

I work with clients that are income-qualified to make their homes safer and more accessible with government grants, donations from corporate sponsors and individuals, and through volunteer labor.

One Source Mobility, Inc. is a home modification and assistive technology business with offices in Roseville and Chico, California. I have experience with accessible vehicles, high tech driving control systems, complex rehab and home modification. I am an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and we will also have General Contractor’s License so we can execute the projects. Many clients we serve are living with CP, spinal cord injuries, diseases like ALS, MS, and MD. We also work with clients who wish to age in place. I started working in the mobility industry in 2002.

The Right Turn is a program specifically designed to help individuals affected by physical and cognitive limitations, regain and/or maintain their independence by safely aging in place. We provide in-depth home modification evaluations to assess a person’s functional needs, giving recommendations to ensure the home is the perfect fit for the individual, now and as he/she continues to age. Keisha has worked with Habitat for Humanity’s Capable program in Harford county for over two years, providing local low-income seniors with home evaluations and recommending the necessary modifications to ensure safety and independence.

At RTMD we provide critical home repairs and home modifications to vulnerable, low-income homowners and neighbors in need.

As an organization, we make home modifications and repairs to help low-income homeowners remain safe and healthy in their respective homes. We also assist older adults with fall prevention modifications allowing them to age in place.
