I am currently building a business to increase access to home safety assessment and modification resources in Alaska and hopefully, the rest of the country! I’m also very passionate about working with older adults and helping those with dementia live their fullest life.

I am an occupational therapist and owner of Liv Equipt. We specialize in home accessibility and creating functional homes tailored to our client’s unique needs through the lens of a medical professional to improve function, independence and support aging in place, health and fall prevention. We serve clients of all ages through in-home OT, home accessibility assessments, design and partnering with contractors and non-profits to implement recommended modifications.

Weekly, I work with America’s veterans to maximize their independence and safety. These efforts include recommendations for home modifications and equipment. I consult with them and their caregivers in regard to financial resources and modification options within a variety of budgets.

Lifespan Home Modifications specializes in all aspects of home modifications, residential Universal Design and Aging In Place. Services include design, specifications, Scope of Work & project management for new home construction, remodeling & handyman services. I work in the Home Based Primary Care program at the VA based in Tucson, Arizona to serve veterans in Sierra Vista and the surrounding rural areas . My primary focus is improving veterans’ abilities to stay safely in the home setting they prefer while also maximizing their independence and quality of life.

I have been doing home modifications since 2008 and enjoy helping keep my elderly community independent in there own homes.

We specialize in the evaluation of Home Modifications, the Construction of Home Modifications and the Sale of Products of Home Modifications. The work we perform is for Residential and Work Related Modifications.

I am an occupational therapist and offer the community residential accessibility consultation. I provide home assessment and recommendations and hope to grow within 5 years to develop my own contractor team in order to implement the recommendations. Currently any recommendations made are then referred to a contractor of the clients choice or I provide the clients with a list of “preferred contractors”.

Phoenix, AZ resident and Baby Boomer Linda Arters has been studying the aging-in-place concept since 2006, initially attracted to its focus on safety and security in the home. She grew up in a home building family in the Philadelphia area, and brings a life-long interest in home improvements that make daily living more comfortable. Arters, a public affairs consultant, certified senior advisor (CSA) and elder justice advocate is focused on assisting her cohorts age at home comfortably, safely and in traditional Boomer-style -in their own unique ways.

I work with veterans to improve home safety by providing home assessments, DME, veteran and caregiver training, and assisting with providing resources and funding sources such as the HISA grant.

CarePLaCe is a program to support caregivers/care partners caring for an older adult with chronic illness and/or a form of dementia. In the program, there is a home safety evaluation to provide information, assessment and recommendations for home modification.

CarePLaCe services are at no cost to the client.

AdaptAble Living combines occupational therapy expertise, aging-in-place certification, and home modification design to provide comprehensive home safety evaluations, personalized accessibility solutions, and functional recommendations that help individuals live safely, confidently, and independently at home.

I work in the public health sector in BC, Canada. I work with clients ages 19-100+ years old to assess their overall function and safety in their home environment.

Senior Move Maven offers practical and spiritual guidance including in-depth assessment, decluttering and downsizing, home modification, design of current or new living space; working with families as well as individuals to find creative new ways towards graceful aging.

I am a licensed general contractor specializing in home modifications for seniors. Experienced in ramps, railings, lifts and grab bars. Also available for Aging-in-Place assessments to improve safety and accessibility throughout the home.

Adapt=Ability provides client-centered assessments and home modification proposals based on the client’s specific vision for aging-in-place. Knowledge derived from the Executive Certificate in Home Modification Program, CAPS (Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist) and decades of experience as a Physical Therapist in the area of rehabilitation contribute to a in-depth assessment and a comprehensive home modification proposal.

I do private home assessments for families of children and adults with disabilities living independently in the community.

Previously worked for the Area Agency on Aging providing home assessments for Fall Prevention program. Currently available to consult to individuals for home assessment needs.
